Hi ladies! Weekly Round Up starts NOW! I am so excited and hope it blesses you. May you have a truly wonderful week. If anything pops up and I miss a day here and there I will upload as soon as can.

Sumptuous Sunday Recipe Below Woot Woot

Food is a good way to serve our loved ones and others. This recipe is a favorite of my family. I came across it on All Recipes online quite a few years ago. It was an instant hit and when I would bring it to our congregation everyone always loved it. This is one that you probably will get asked to share the recipe. It is really that good!

I never take pictures of food I make but might start for recipes I will share. So the next time I make this I will try to remember to snap a decent pic and add it on lol.

Broccoli Delight Salad

this is a fresh salad, nothing is cooked except the turkey bacon

Ingredients:

1 head, 5 cups or more if desire

1 package turkey bacon (recipes I have had say 10 pieces but I always use whole package)

1/2 cup raisins

1/4 cup red onion, chopped

2 TBS sugar

3 TBS vinegar (I have always used red wine vinegar and it is YUMMY)

1 cup mayonaise

1 cup sunflower seeds (I use 1/4 cup preferring less)

Directions:

  1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Crumble and set aside.
  2. In a salad bowl, toss together broccoli, raisins and red onions. In a separate bowl whisk together the sugar, vinegar and mayonaise. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Before serving, sprinkle with sunflower seeds and crumbled bacon. Toss and serve. (I mix these in before refrigerate, and tend to serve right away sometimes, it really is up to your preferences)
  4. All done!

This really is a yummy salad. It is even good as leftovers which I often love to have! I hope you give it a try and enjoy this recipe.
