Good morning ladies! I hope you are doing well. It has been beautiful recently and today we have some yucky weather coming. Hopefully not too bad. I pray none of you experience any bad weather either.
I don’t know about you but I hate the wine memes for women. Some years ago I started seeing them. Quickly it was a huge turn off, it just felt so insulting and wrong. Aren’t women capable of handling anything? These things are not a joke. They are damaging.
We are to be sober. Titus 2 talks about the older teaching the younger to be sober. Looking around today… we can see the why.
Can’t women function without needing alcohol? Society has acted like we can’t for a long time now. People are starting to wake up to how toxic that culture is.
It saddens me how toxic this has all become. It took far too long for people to see how bad this is.
We need to have moderation in all things.
The memes and entertainment that speak heavily to not being able to cope with our kids without drinking is so horrible. The message being sent to youth is not good.
Youth are watching and seeing that apparently they are so terrible their moms can’t handle them without drinking. Yikes that is awful. They are also being taught that alcohol is how you deal with your problems. Both of those are damaging.
Are we so weak that the slightest thing makes us go grab a drink? Bored? Grab a drink we are told. Husband or kids annoying you? Grab another. Girlfriends coming over? Have drinks. Everything seems to have a reason to grab one.
Doesn’t seem to matter the time of day either.
These things are unhealthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Don’t let society tell you that you need to have a drink to be able to cope with things or have a good time. These are toxic mindsets.
What happens if there is an emergency and we can’t drive or do something because always drinking? That is not good or safe. What happens if we are out and had too much? This can get dangerous.
It isn’t funny when someone can’t remember the night before because they had too much.
Yes, we are to be sober. Being moderate is the key. Go to Yah instead of the bottle. We can be a great example to our children and others when we are moderate in all things.
Life can be fun, wonderful and a good time without having to always have drinking involved.
Don’t believe the lies that we can’t cope or have fun otherwise. The lies are not of Yah.
Keep your eyes on His Kingdom. We want to inherit His promises. We can’t do that if we are not living life soberly. Let’s run the race set before us and be sober.
